What is Federal Skilled Worker Class (FSWC) ?
The Federal Skilled Worker Class was primitively called the Federal Skilled Worker Program. It is a part of the Express Entry Program to settle permanently in Canada.
It is the most significant program for migration to Canada. Every year, this program has allowed most newcomers to have ease of immigration to Canada.
This class is for professionals and skilled individuals who want to move to Canada permanently.
Federal Skilled Worker Class (FSWC) Application
The Federal Skilled Worker Class (FSWC) applicants are examined on their ability to become financially independent on travelling to Canada.

Process of Federal Skilled Worker Class (FSWC)
There is a two-step process to clear immigration to Canada via Federal Skilled Worker Class (FSWC).
1. First Step:
The first is an eligibility criterion for FSWC applications, and the applicants must fulfill them before applying for immigration.
The candidate must :
1. Have at least a year of full-time, uninterrupted or equivalent, paid work experience in the last ten years in a skilled profession, OR
2. Be eligible for arranged employment in Canada with a labor market impact assessment and a permanent full-time offer of the job from a Canadian employer, AND
3. Clear a bare minimum threshold of language ability in either of Canada’s two official languages – English or French
2. Second Step:
The second requirement for Federal Skilled Worker Class (FSWC) is that the candidate must score a minimum of 67 points as per the following weightage:
- Education – upto 25 points
- Language Skills – upto 28 points
- Work Experience – upto 15 points
- Age – upto 12 points
- Arranged Employment – upto 10 points
- Adaptability – upto 10 points
Once you fulfill the eligibility needs, your online profile of the Express Entry program makes you a member of the Express Entry applicants pool. In the pool, all eligible applicants and their applications are ranked against the other applicants in the pool.

Once the candidate ranking is complete, a draw is conducted to select the final candidates. The candidates who are selected in the draw are then sent invitations to apply for immigration to Canada via the Federal Skilled Worker Class Express Entry Program.
The applicants who receive the invitation to apply have only 90 days from the date of receiving their request to submit their completed applications. After this, the candidate is also needed to prove that he has enough funds to not only support himself or herself but also take care of the dependents as soon as he/she reaches Canada.
If the candidate has no dependent accompanying him/her to Canada, then he/she must possess funds equivalent to CAD 12,300. These funds must be available with the applicant and be transferable. These should not be a part of any candidate debt or any other engagement/obligation.
