Northern Territory Skilled Occupation List

The northern territory occupation list contains occupations in demand throughout the NT.

However if your eligible occupation is not on the northern territory Migration Occupation List but is on the Consolidated Supported Occupation List (CSOL), you can still apply for NT Government nomination, you must provide independent proof of positive work prospects in the NT either in your qualified occupation or in a closely related qualified occupation and you can demonstrate good, well-established family connections.
Due to the high number of applicants already living and employed in the Northern Territory, offshore applicants must provide proof of having obtained an offer of employment in your nominated occupation or in a strongly linked occupation for a range of professions listed on the NT Migration Occupation List.

International graduates who have not completed a minimum of two years of NT study or are Subclass 485 visa holders who have completed their studies in another Australian state will be:
Needed to prove that they have lived and worked in the northern territory migration for no less than three months in their eligible occupation or closely related professional occupation (six months for Welfare Workers diploma level) prior to applying for sponsorship (see essential details for applicants already residing in Australia) and unless they can show strong ties to the NT, they are considered for sponsorship for the Professional Regional Nominated (Subclass 489) visa or nt 491 visa, nt 190 visa.

Qualified graduates of Charles Darwin University who have completed at least two years of NT research will be eligible for the Skilled Regional Nominated (Provisional) (Subclass 489) visa and Skilled Nominated (Subclass 190) visa to qualify for sponsorship.
