It is a flourishing economy with significant growth opportunities in the energy and natural resource sectors. This Canadian province has a time zone of its own.

It has a total population of 535,000, about one half of which resides in the capital city – St. John’s area. It is a very lively place with an abundance of facilities for a luxurious lifestyle.

There are some of the most excellent schools, supreme healthcare, premium restaurants, and numerous entertainment options as well.

Hence, the Newfoundland and Labrador province of Canada is undoubtedly the first choice of foreign nationals who wish to move to Canada forever.

Corner Brook, Grand Falls – Windsor, and Gander are some other major cities of this Canadian Province. These smaller cities are the safest and undoubtedly the most welcoming ones as they were the first ever cities in entire Canada to happily accept Syrian refugees.

The Newfoundland and Labrador province has recently also started contributing to the Canadian economy, they are growing at an exponential rate, and there is a vast array of opportunities for new immigrants.

In this write-up, we are detailing everything that you would like to know about the Newfoundland PNP Program for Canada Immigration.

What Is Newfoundland PNP (NL PNP)?

NLPNP is an abbreviation for “Newfoundland and Labrador Provincial Nominee Program” This is a special program for the Newfoundland and Labrador province of Canada to invite and accept foreign nationals as permanent residents of Canada by strict eligibility criteria and specific rules.

The Newfoundland PNP association is always at a lookout for candidates who are qualified, trained and experienced in the skillset that is required to uplift the local economy of the province.

The Newfoundland and Labrador Provincial Nominee Program together along with the Canada Express Entry program is much preferred over the other traditional Canadian immigration paths as applications here are processed much faster and efficiently.

Canada Newfoundland PNP Program makes way for the Newfoundland and Labrador province to select and nominate candidates for immigration to Canada.

A candidate who gets the Newfoundland PNP nomination certificate from the NL PNP association gains 600 additional points in the express entry comprehensive ranking system (CRS).

These points are sufficient for the applicant to receive the permanent Canadian citizenship. All NL PNP applications are processed in less than six months from the date of application.

Newfoundland PNP and Canada Express Entry Program:

If you find yourself to be eligible, there are two ways to get a nomination from NL PNP for your permanent residency in Canada.

The first one is where the candidate must apply for NL PNP via the Newfoundland Office of Immigration and Multiculturalism outside of the Express Entry Program.

Once the applicant gets nominated under the Newfoundland PNP Program, he/she can then create their express entry accounts online and undoubtedly mention that they have the provincial nomination certificate from the Newfoundland and Labrador province.

Do not forget to mention the certificate number in your profile for them to verify for future processing of your application.

In the second option, the candidate creates his/her online profile at the Canada Express Entry Program beforehand. In this profile, the candidate precisely specifies his/her interest in immigration to the Newfoundland and Labrador province via Newfoundland PNP Program.

If found suitable, the candidate receives a “notification of interest” letter from the NL PNP government. This letter is primarily an invitation letter for the eligible candidate to file his application for NL PNP.

The Newfoundland and Labrador Provincial Nominee Program is favoring any candidate whose capabilities or experiences are beneficial to drive the Newfoundland province towards growth and development.

They directly contact any worthy individuals whose Express Entry Profiles possess the desired qualifications, skillset, or experience and which they find suitable for the Newfoundland province of Canada.

In this case, the NL PNP submits the candidate’s nomination certificate directly to the Express Entry system.

The applicant has to log into their online Express Entry Profiles and accept the certificate. By doing so, the applicant instantaneously earns 600 additional points in his/her Express Entry CRS score.

Now the candidate has to wait to receive the “Invitation to Apply” for immigration and permanent residency to Canada in the next Express Entry Draw.
