Nova Scotia Provincial Nominee Program


Employers who require the skills of skilled workers can take advantage of the Skilled Worker Stream, which assists recently graduated international students with the skills they need. Foreign workers may only be hired if an employer has been unable to fill a position with Canadians or permanent residents.

ELIGIBILITY

To apply you must:

  • An employer in Nova Scotia has offered you a full-time permanent position;
  • the job requires one year of related experience. Applicants with semi- and low-skilled experience must already have six months of work experience with their employers.
  • be 21 to 55 years old;
  • have a high school diploma;
  • a high school diploma; be trained, skilled, and/or accredited;
  • If you are a skilled worker, you must demonstrate language abilities equivalent to CLB Level 5. If English or French is your first language, that is sufficient evidence. If the first language of a semi-skilled or low-skilled worker is English or French, they must provide test results to prove they meet CLB 4 requirements;
  • they must also prove they have sufficient financial resources to settle in Nova Scotia.
