Nova Scotia reserves the right to select the candidates it wants to nominate for the Nova Scotia Provincial Nominee Program. NSPNP prefers certain occupations and skillset over the others and these preferences keep changing with the change in the Nova Scotia’s labour market requirements. There are 2 categories of application for NSPNP:
Category 1 – This category is for candidates who have a full-time job offer from a Nova Scotia employer.
Category 2 – This category is for candidates who have at least 1-year work experience in an occupation that has a current demand in the Nova Scotia labour market. The work experience should be in the last 10 years and Nova Scotia gives preference to candidates whose experience is in the Nova Scotia province itself.
