Ways to Get PR in Canada

 

There are various ways to apply for a PR visa in Canada if you match the requirements. The most typical route is via the Canadian embassy or consulate in your country of residence. If you're going to Canada, you can also submit an application at a port of entry.

 

You can submit a direct application for a PR at Citizenship and Immigration Canada if you have lived outside of Canada for more than six months and are otherwise qualified (CIC). Only passports with recent travel stamps proving that you have left and returned to your native country within the previous six months are eligible for this option.

Documents Requirements

In order to be qualified for a PR visa in Canada, you must present the following paperwork:

Fund Requirements

If you have resided in Canada for at least six months, this cost is waived. After that, a processing fee of $100 CAD will be charged for every new application. A total fee of between CAD 380 and CAD 700 may be required to apply for a Canadian PR visa.

After your paperwork has been submitted and reviewed, you will be given a temporary travel document (TRV), which permits the holder to travel to and remain in Canada while holding a PR visa. The TRV must be stamped upon entry and is only valid for a maximum of six months.
